Travel Tips

• Always carry all of your immigration documents with you including your I-20 or DS-2019, passport, financial statements (bank statement, GTF contract, UO contract), and unofficial Duckweb transcripts (students only).
• Your I-20 or DS-2019 needs to be signed by an adviser at IA before you leave, unless you already have a travel signature that is less than 5 months old. Visit the IA Visa Matters website and download the I-20 or DS-2019 Request Form.
• If you are re-entering the U.S., you must have a valid visa in your passport. If you are visiting Canada or Mexico, please see the links below for special information.
